    BEIJING, Nov. 3 -- South Korean actress Lee Young Ae will star in the 24-episode Hong Kong TV drama "The Three Years and Eight Months".

    The 24-episode Hong Kong TV drama "The Three Years and Eight Months" about the war of Chinese resistance against Japanese invaders from 1937 to 1945 will start shooting at the second half of this month.

    South Korean actress Lee Young Ae, who is popular to Chinese fans for her recent role in the high-rating TV series "Dae Jang Geum", will be cast in the eight episodes of the TV play as a Korean painter, who flees from Korean to Hong Kong during the war period.

    Hong Kong stars Andy Lau, Eric Tsang, Sammi Cheng highly praised the drama to be meaningful and patriotic and said that if their schedules permit they would probably co-star in the TV series.
