HANOI, Oct. 31 (Xinhuanet) -- Hu Jintao, general secretary of the Central
Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and president of China, held
talks with Vietnamese leaders on bilateral relations in Hanoi Monday.
Hours after his arrival, Hu met with Nong Duc Manh, general secretary of
the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), and Vietnamese
President Tran Duc Luong. They discussed between the two communist parties and
the two countries.
The two sides exchanged views on international and regional issues of
common concern.
Before their talks, Hu attended a welcoming ceremony hosted by Nong Duc
Manh, and Tran Duc Luong.
After their talks, representatives of the two countries signed a number of
economic cooperation documents.
Hu is in Hanoi on a three-day official goodwill visit. Enditem
