STOCKHOLM, Oct. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- Four young men, suspected of attempting to
make suicide bombings in an unnamed European city, were arrested by Danish
police, according to reports from Copenhagen on Friday.
Danish News Agency said the four suspects, aged from 16 to 20, were captured
in swoops by police on Thursday morning. Police also confiscated
computers, mobile phones, DVDs and 200,000 kroner (32,400 US dollars) in cash.
The raids were carried out at the four men's homes in Copenhagen and its
suburb on a tip from the police of a Balkan country, whose name Danish police
refused to give.
However, it is said that many explosives and weapons were stolen away in the
Balkan country on Oct. 19, and clues related to the stealing have been
detected in Denmark.
Things found on the swoop spots can be used in suicide bombings, said the
police, adding the target the suspects intended to attackwas "one place in
Europe" recently. The police declined to give more details.
The four young men were all living in Denmark, with one having the Middle
East origin and one owning Danish nationality.
Their relatives and neighbors said the youngsters were all Islamists and got
to know each other when praying at mosques. They had showed such a vehement
passion recently that even their families were worried. Enditem
