EU leaders welcome UN report on Hariri

    SURREY, Britain, Oct. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- European Union's leaders meeting here at Hampton Court outside London on Thursday expressed their welcome to the report of the United Nations International Investigation Commission (ICC) over the assassination of Former Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri.

    "The report's conclusions are very serious. The leaders welcomed agreement to extend the ICC's mandate until December," said a statement issued at the summit.

    The leaders expressed their "full support for the UN Security Council's determination to see justice done in this case."

    The leaders called upon Syria to cooperate unconditionally with the investigators.

    Leaders of the EU countries also expected decisive action by the UN Security Council in future investigation. Enditem
