Pakistan hands over ex-Taliban members to Afghanistan

    ISLAMABAD, Oct. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- Pakistan on Wednesday handed over ten former Taliban members to the Afghan government, sources said.

    Theose senior Taliban members were flown in a special plane to Kabul. The ten Taliban members included former Taliban spokesman Latifullah Hakimi and Taliban former head of information section Ustad Yasir, sources told Pakistan's private news agency NNI.

    Sources said that the decision to hand over Taliban members to Afghan government was taken during Afghan President Hamid Karzai recent visit to Pakistan.

    Hakimi was arrested along with few other Taliban members earlier this month near Quetta. Enditem
