Fuel surcharge fee on int'l routes to be raised

BEIJING, Oct. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Chinese mainland airline companies will raise the fuel surcharge fee on international routes, due to the high oil price, according to sources from the General Administration of Civil Aviation of China (CAAC).

Each passenger should pay 25 US dollars instead of the original 12 dollars from the mainland to Asian nations. Passengers who travel from the mainland to Europe, America, Oceania and the Middle East should pay 40 US dollars instead of the original 20 US dollars.

In July CAAC allowed airline companies to charge for fuel price on domestic routes. Enditem
