Rockets land in Sharon's farm

GAZA, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A Palestinian militant group said on Sunday that it had targeted Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon after remains of rockets were found in Sharon's farm last week.

"The rockets carry a clear message that nobody in Israel is secure, including Sharon. We say to Sharon that he is not immune from Palestinian resistance strikes," said Mohamed Abdel Al, known as Abu Abber, the spokesman of the Palestinian Resistance Committee.

The homemade rockets have caused panic among Israelis and disrupted daily life mainly in southern Israel, but they rarely cause casualties due to inaccuracy.

The rockets reportedly landed near the grave of Sharon's wife in his Sycamore Farm close to the southern Israeli town of Sderot which suffered from a barrage of rockets fired by Palestinian militant groups from neighboring Gaza in September. Enditem
