www.chinaview.cn 2005-10-23 01:54:35

ISLAMABAD, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A strong aftershock with a preliminary magnitude of 6.0 jolted Pakistan's quake zone Sunday, local media reported.

There were no immediate reports of injuries.

The quake with its epicenter near Mansehra, some 130 kilometers northwest of the capital Islamabad, was felt around 8:00 pm.

The aftershock took place two weeks after an earthquake of 7.6 on the Richter scale on Oct. 8, which killed 53,000 people in Pakistan and 1,300 in Indian-controlled Kashmir. Enditem
