BEIJING, Oct. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- A passenger plane with 114 people on board went down late Saturday shortly after take-off from the Nigerian city of Lagos, CNN reported.

Helicopters are searching for wreckage of the Boeing 737, which is operated by Bellview Airlines. CNN said the passengers included several high-ranking Nigerian officials.

The nationalities of those on board, which include 108 passengers and six crew, were not immediately known.

The aircraft, bound for the Nigerian capital of Abuja, disappeared from the radar screen several minutes after take-off. Enditem
