Only 1 province rejects draft constitution

    BAGHDAD, Oct. 22 (Xinhuanet) -- Only one province, Salahudin,rejected Iraq's draft constitution in the Oct. 15 referendum,according to partial results of the poll on Saturday.

    The results, which represent 20 percent of votes in 13

    provinces out of Iraq's 18 provinces, showed that 12 provinces said "yes" to the constitution and only Salahudin province rejected it so far, Adel al-Lami, spokesman of the Independent Electoral Commission, told reporters.    

    He said figures for other four provinces, including Ninevah,have not been released and are being audited by the commission.As for Anbar province, Lami said the data is still being inputted into the system for checking.     

    Salahudin province, which includes former President Saddam Hussein's hometown of Tikrit, voted no with 81.5 percent. Enditem
