NANJING, Oct. 19 (Xinhuanet) -- Olympic champion Xing Huina of Shandong was stripped of the women's 1,500 meters gold medal at the 10th Chinese National Games for a foul against second placed Liu Qing here on Wednesday, the Arbitration Panel of the Athletics Competition
of the National Games announced.
Xing, who won the 10,000m gold in the Athens
Olympics, elbowed Liu in the final meters and outsprinted the Shanxi runner to
the second place, the Arbitration Panel of the Athletics Competiton ofthe
National Games announced.
Liu was then announced as the winner while Xing was
stripped ofher result in the event.
Xing had won the women's 10,000 on Monday. Enditem
