Bali bombing probe makes little progress

JAKARTA, Oct. 18 (Xinhuanet) -- Three suspects in the Oct. 1 bombings in Bali have been released as investigators could not prove their links with the attacks, the Indonesian Police said Tuesday.

"Police investigations found no links between them and the attacks," police spokesman Brig. Gen. Soenarko was quoted by the Detikcom online news service as saying.

The three men, who identities are given in initials, have been detained for two days.

They were arrested after disappearing from their boarding house in Bali on the same day with the attacks, which killed at least 23 people. Enditem
