RAMALLAH, Oct. 16 (Xinhuanet) -- Israeli troops shot dead a leader of the Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad (Holy War) in a clash near the northern West Bank city of Jenin on Sunday, Israel Radio reported.
An Israeli army special unit shot dead a Palestinian militant when Israeli soldiers stormed the village of Burqin near Jenin,said Palestinian security sources and witnesses.
Palestinian hospital confirmed that Nihad Abu Ghanem, 27, diedafter being shot in the head, abdomen and chest.
Ghanem was a leading member of Saraya al-Quds, the armed wing of Jihad, according to the sources. Enditem |
