GAZA, Oct. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Israel received 300 well-trained dogs against terrorism from the United States and might use the magainst Palestinian militants in the West Bank, the Israeli Daily Yedioth Athronot reported Saturday.

The dogs were mobilized from the United States on a special Israeli plane, and the Israeli army will use them in raids on Palestinian towns, said the report.

The initiative of donating 300 dogs to Israel was made by a Jewish Organization in the United States, which believed that the dogs could support the Israeli army in fighting "Palestinian terrorism."

The daily quoted a senior Israeli army officer as saying that dog trainees have started to train the dogs to use them in coming raids on houses of wanted Palestinians.

Palestinians said the Israeli army has intensified use of sniffer dogs in arresting wanted Palestinians, and the dogs are furious and aggressive and cause severe physical and psychological harms to the Palestinians.  Enditem
