Chinese marksman betters world record of men's 25m rapid fire pistol

    NANJING, East China, Oct. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Chen Yongqiang from Shanghai betters shooting world record of men's 25m rapid fire pistol at the 10th National Games here on Saturday.

    Chen scored 591 points in the qualification of the event to surpass the world record, as well as the national record of 586 points.

    The former world record of 589 points was set by Alifirenko Sergi of Russia in International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) shooting World Cup final on August 26 at Munich, Germany.

    The final of the event will be held later on Saturday. Enditem
