www.chinaview.cn 2005-10-15 09:38:15

BEIJING, Oct. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- Shenzhou-6, China's second manned spacecraft, has safely traveled in space for three whole days since it was lifted off at 9:10 a.m. Wednesday.

With a total flight of about 2.02 million km, Fei Junlong and Nie Haisheng, the two taikonauts, the Chinese term of astronauts, have reported good feelings in space. They have seen 48 times of sunrise and sunset.

The taikonauts have conducted a series of unprecedented experiments on the Shenzhou-6, including the manoeuvers between the orbital and re-entry capsules, taking on and off space suits, using space toilet and the self-test of blood pressure.

The spacecraft is flying in a circular orbit 343 km above the Earth at a speed of 7.8 km per second. Enditem
