M5.8 aftershock hits India-controlled Kashmir

    SRINAGAR, Oct. 13 (Xinhuanet) -- An aftershock, measuring 5.8 on the Richter scale, hit the India-controlled Kashmir early Thursday morning, especially Uri and Tangdhar that had suffered huge death in Saturday's massive earthquake.

    The tremor, felt at 1:24 a.m. Thursday, had driven survivors out of their tents but there was no report of casualty or damage so far.

    Saturday's earthquake has claimed 1,300 lives in this region. Enditem
