Charlize Theron rules out marriage
www.chinaview.cn 2005-10-13 11:31:21

BEIJING, Oct. 13 -- Oscar winner Charlize Theron has said that marriage is not for her.

In an interview with the TV show "Access Hollywood", Theron said: "I'm happy for people who want to get married but it's not my thing."

Theron has been dating Irish actor Stuart Townsend for four years, but she has no intention of walking down the aisle, even though she would like to start a family.

"I'm extremely happy in my relationship and I would love to have kids." She said.

The 30-year-old's comments came just days after her mother remarried. Theron was 15 years old when her mother fatally shot her alcoholic father as he threatened the family in a drunken rage.

Theron was a bridesmaid at her mother's big day, which she also hosted with her boyfriend in Pacific Palisades, California, on Sunday.

Theron won the Academy Award in 2004 as best actress for her role as a serial killer in "Monster" .
