LOS ANGELES, Oct. 12 (Xinhuanet) -- A moderate aftershock measuring 5.6 on the
Richter scale jolted Islamabad, capital of Pakistan, in the aftermath of a
deadly earthquake that had killed 23,000 and injured even more, the
Colorado-based US Geological Survey (USGS) said Wednesday.
The quake occured at 01:23:38 Thursday local time (21:23:38 Wednesday GMT),
said the USGS. The epicenter was located at 70 km east of Mingaora and 135 km
north of Islamabad, Pakistan.
The depth of the epicenter was 10 km, said the USGS. Seismologists are
