GAZA, Oct. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian sources said on Sunday that they are considering the possibility of delaying a summit between Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon due on Tuesday.

The sources said the summit might be postponed as the two sides need more time to ensure its success.

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat is scheduled to meet with Sharon's office chief Dov Weissglas Sunday evening. It is the second meeting in two days.

During the first meeting, the two sides agreed that they should reach consensus on several pressing issues, including date and venue of the summit. Abbas and Sharon have met twice this year. Enditem
