BEIJING, Oct. 9 -- The soundtrack album for this year's upcoming heavy-weight TV drama "Moment In Peking" will be released on Monday in China.

The album hits the Chinese market ahead of its TV debut, which has finally been scheduled to hit screens on CCTV1 from October 15th.

The high-profile TV series will go to war with South Korean smash-hit drama "Dae Jang Geum", which has so far topped this year's ratings.

With an investment of 30 million yuan, about 3.5 million US dollars ,"Moment In Peking", an adaption from renowned Chinese writer Lin Yutang's classic of the same name, stars Chen Baoguo and Vicky Zhao, who shot to fame in a TV series based on celebrated Taiwan novelist Qiong Yao's classics.

This is Vicky Zhao's first performance after her 4 years of absence from the film circle.

Different from her former hoyden roles in Qiong Yao's classics, Vicky Zhao said she plays a quiet and modest girl in the new TV series, a big change in her acting career.
