www.chinaview.cn 2005-10-07 14:35:25

JAKARTA, Oct. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- The Indonesian police said Friday the latest bombing on Bali island was very likely to be carried out by a new group of militants.

"It could be a new generation... These people aren't recognizedby the old group," Bali police chief I Made Mangku Pastika was quoted by the Detikcom online news service as saying.

Investigators have shown photographs of three severed heads of the alleged suicide bombers to convicted terrorists in jail, including those who carried out the Oct. 12, 2002 nightclub bombings that killed 202 people.

However, no one appeared to recognize the identifiable faces ofthe severed heads.

Pastika admitted that the investigation into last Saturday's bombings, that killed 27 people including the alleged bombers, hasnot made any significant progress so far. Enditem
