| Pregnant hornless rhinoceros fossil exhibition in Shangdong |

| Li Fenglin, professor of China Geological
University introduces to visitors the fossil bones of a pregnant hornless
rhinoceros at the National Geological Park in Linqu County, east China's
Shandong Province, Sept. 29, 2005. This rare fossil considered to be 18
million years old was excavated at a former volcano site full of ancient
species' traces in Linqu. The mother-to-be rhinoceros, measured 2.7 meters
long and 1.7 meters high, was said to be the first of its kind so far
discovered in the world. | |
