www.chinaview.cn 2005-09-30 14:41:48

Photo taken on Sept. 29, 2005 shows part of the fossil skeleton of a pregnant hornless rhinoceros at the National Geological Park in Linqu County, east China's Shandong Province. This rare fossil considered to be 18 million years old was excavated at a former volcano site full of ancient species' traces in Linqu. The mother-to-be rhinoceros, measured 2.7 meters long and 1.7 meters high, was said to be the first of its kind so far discovered in the world.
