1st 24-hour news radio channel opens in China

    BEIJING, Sept. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- China Radio International (CRI) launched CRI News radio on Wednesday in the Beijing area, the first around-the-clock news radio channel in China.

    The new radio programs, which can be heard in Beijing at 90.5 FM and 900 medium wave, provide news, sports and entertainment programs in Chinese and foreign languages.

    Short and vivid, the programs are expected to attract locals interested in international news and other cultures as well as foreigners living in Beijing.

    Established in 1941, CRI is China's international radio broadcaster transmitting radio programs in 43 languages. Enditem
