Egypt's Mubarak sworn in for fifth term

    CAIRO, Sept. 27 (Xinhuanet) -- Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak on Tuesday was sworn in Tuesday as the first elected president of Egypt in a joint session of the upper and lower houses of parliament, beginning his fifth six-year term.

    Mubarak won Egypt's first contested presidential elections on Sept. 7. Enditem
