JERUSALEM, Sept. 26 (Xinhuanet) -- An Israeli was killed by
militants from the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) after he was kidnapped
last week and his body was found near the West Bank city of Ramallah on Monday,
Israeli security sources said.
Security forces found Sasson Nuriel's body in an industrial zone
west of the West Bank city of Ramallah, after several days of searches.
Nuriel, from the northern Jerusalem neighborhood of Pisgat
Ze'ev, was reported missing last Wednesday by his wife after he didn't come home
from work at midnight.
At predawn Monday, the Israeli security forces arrested a Hamas
man in Ramallah suspected of involvement in the abduction. The Shin Bet security
service classified the incident as a terror attack.
Nuriel, who was self-employed, manufactured candies in a factory
in the West Bank industrial zone of Mishor Adumim near Jerusalem, and bought and
sold machine parts used in making candy. Nuriel had business ties with several
Palestinian merchants. Enditem |
