LONDON, Sept. 25 (Xinhuanet) -- International
inspectors will disclose on Monday a report in which they are expected to
announce the full disarmament of the Irish Republican Army (IRA), Sky news said
on Sunday.
The report, coming two months after the IRA officially ordered an end to its armed struggle on July 28, is
expected to be presented to the British and Irish governments on Monday.
General John De Chastelain, head of the International
Commission on Decommissioning, will make his findings public at a press
conference later.
Separate statements are expected from two independent
church witnesses, Gerry Adams, president of IRA's political wing Sinn Fein and
the IRA.
Sinn Fein chief negotiator Martin McGuinness regarded
the decommissioning as "reviving the peace process".
However, Jeffrey Donaldson, senior representative for
the Democratic Unionists, said the process had not been sufficiently transparent
to reassure the people.
Ulster Unionist leader Reg Empey called on the
decommissioning body to provide a detailed inventory of what has been disposed
of in order to restore confidence.
Analysts said that once the disarming is completed,
British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Irish Taoiseach Bertie Ahern will pressure
the Democratic Unionists and Sinn Fein, Northern Ireland's two biggest political
parties, to work together in a coalition administration.
