WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Flood water breached a levee in southern
US city of New Orleans again Friday due to heavy rainsbrought by the upcoming
Hurricane Rita.
US Army Corps of Engineers Spokesman Mitch Frazier told local radio that
the flood water is rushing over part of the levee, which had been breached as
Hurricane Katrina struck US Gulf Coast three weeks ago.
Dozens of street blocks in the Ninth Ward of the city are once again under
water as a waterfall of at least 30 feet wide poured over that breached levee.
