Flood water breaches levee in New Orleans again

    WASHINGTON, Sept. 23 (Xinhuanet) -- Flood water breached a levee in southern US city of New Orleans again Friday due to heavy rainsbrought by the upcoming Hurricane Rita.

    US Army Corps of Engineers Spokesman Mitch Frazier told local radio that the flood water is rushing over part of the levee, which had been breached as Hurricane Katrina struck US Gulf Coast three weeks ago.

    Dozens of street blocks in the Ninth Ward of the city are once again under water as a waterfall of at least 30 feet wide poured over that breached levee. Enditem
