BAGHDAD, Sept. 17 (Xinhuanet) -- The death toll in the car bombing in southeastern Baghdad on Saturday has risen to 30, said the police.

"The death toll is now 30 and another 38 were injured," a source from the Interior Ministry told Xinhua on condition of anonymity.

The source told Xinhua earlier that at least 14 were killed and 10 injured in the explosion.

A powerful car bomb detonated inside a market in Nahrawan district of southeastern Baghdad at around 7:30 p.m. (GMT 1530), according to the source.

Over 200 were killed in recent days as Abu Musad al-Zarqawi, the leader of al-Qaida in Iraq, declared a "all-out" war on Iraq's Shiite Muslims and government.  Enditem
