New Zealander threatens to detonate bomb

    WELLINGTON, Sept. 15 (Xinhuanet) -- A New Zealander in a Tauranga hotel threatened Thursday morning to detonate a bomb unless he gets to speak to Prime Minister Helen Clark, local media reported.

    He might hold hostages, said the media, adding that tauranga Senior Sergeant Ian Campion said police have closed off the area of tauranga, port city of north island.   Enditem
