GAZA, Sept. 10 (Xinhuanet) -- Palestinian militants Saturday evening released an Italian Journalist, security sources said. The Interior Ministry said in a statement that the kidnapping harmed the highest interests of the Palestinian people.

Shortly after being freed by the militants, Lorenco Kremonizi, who works for the Italian daily Correra Del Laserra, held a meeting with Civil Affairs Minister Mohammed Dahlan.

Kremonizi also met with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas. Palestinian sources said both Abbas and Dahlan apologized to the Italian journalist for what happened. Earlier in the day, Kremonizi was kidnapped by unknown militants in central Gaza Strip. No one claimed responsibility for the kidnapping. Enditem
