that it and Israel has had serious disagreements over controlling the crossings
at Palestinian borders with Egypt and Israel.

disagreement occurs in the Palestinian and Israeli positions, especially to what
is related to Rafah crossing at the borders with Egypt.
Khatib added that till the moment we didn't reach any agreement with the
Israelis around the preparations of the other crossings.
PNA Interior Minister Naser Yousef and Israeli Defense Minister Shaol Mofaz
has held their latest joint security meeting.
Al-Kahtib who attended the meeting said that the meeting discusses several issues
and a suggestion of closing Rafah crossing for six months was the main
issue.
He added that there is no agreement about closing Rafah crossing and the
meeting focused on Israeli preparations and details of evacuating the
settlements and handing them over to the Palestinians.
Al-Khatib said that the Israeli side informed us its decision to close Rafah
crossing and turn transferring the people and goods movement to Kerem Shalom
within weeks, which means the Israeli control on crossings continues.
The Palestinian side rejected the Israeli suggestion and asserted on our
right with cooperation with the Egyptians to continue operating Rafah crossing,
