13 Egyptians killed as tractor falls into canal

    CAIRO, Sept. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- A total of 13 Egyptians were killed in southern Egypt on Friday, when a farm tractor with a trailer fell into an irrigation canal on its way to the field, police said.  

    The accident took place at Nasser in Beni Suef province, some 120 km south of Cairo. 

    Most victims were children of 11-12 years old, but the tractordriver survived the accident.

    Police were investigating the circumstances under which the deadly accident occurred.  Enditem
