Earthquake hits Papua New Guinea

    HONG KONG, Sept. 9 (Xinhuanet) -- An earthquake measuring 7.3 on the Richter scale rocked the east coast of New Britain, Papua New Guinea, at 3:35 p.m. (0735 GMT) Friday, according to the Hong Kong Observatory.

    The epicenter was initially determined to be 4.6 south latitude, 153.3 east longitude, about 130 kilometers east-southeast of Rabaul. Enditem
