Russian cargo spaceship lifts off for space station

    MOSCOW, Sept. 8 (Xinhuanet) -- A Russian cargo spaceship blasted off Thursday with supplies for the International Space Station (ISS), the Mission Control said.

    The Progress M-54 ship, carrying 2.5 tons of food, water, fuel, equipment and oxygen tanks, lifted off from the Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan at 17:07 Moscow time (1307 GMT). Enditem
