Car bomb blast in southern Baghdad kills 3

    BAGHDAD, Sep. 7 (Xinhuanet) -- A car bomb detonated Wednesday in southern Baghdad, killing three civilians and wounding another, an Interior Ministry source told Xinhua.

    The attack took place on the highway near Doura oil refinery in southern Baghdad, when a suicide bomber blew up his explosive-laden car near several civilian cars, the source said.

    The target of the attack was not clear as there were no US or Iraqi security forces at the scene, the source said, adding that two civilian cars were damaged in the blast. Enditem
