KINSHASA, Sept. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- A Russian-made plane crashed Monday in
northeastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, killing all 11 people on board,
according to the country's civil aviation authority.
The Antonov 26 aircraft crashed near the town of Isiro, some 300 km
northeast of the provincial capital of Kisangani shortly before landing early
Monday.
Officials said the plane belonged to a private Congolese company and that
bad weather may have been the cause of the accident. Enditem
