GAZA, Sept. 5 (Xinhuanet) -- A senior Palestinian official said on Monday that the Israeli army must keep its pledge in pulling out ofthe Gaza Strip within the next ten days.

Saleem Abu Safeya, chief of crossing in the Palestinian National Authority (PNA), told a local Palestinian radio that the Palestinians don't want to see any Israeli soldier at crossings after the Israeli withdrawal.

Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz said on Sunday that the Israeli army will quit the Gaza Strip by Sept. 15.

Abu Safeya said that the issue of crossings remained unresolved despite meetings between the Palestinians and the Israelis in the last few days.

He reiterated Palestinian objection to any Israeli presence at Rafah crossing on Gaza-Egypt border and Israeli suggestion to relocate the Rafah crossing to allow Israelis to keep control ofit.  Enditem
