15 feared dead in Mexican black powder explosion

    MEXICO CITY, Sept. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- An explosion of black powder in southern Mexico killed up to 15 people, La Jornada newspaper reported Sunday.

    Civil defence spokesman Roel Ayala Mata said a spark from welding work caused the blast of the black powder stored for use in fireworks and eight bodies had been recovered from the scene inthe state of Guerrero.

    Many of the dead were feared to be youths who were in a neighboring game arcade. Enditem
