Top legislator leaves Beijing for visit to Morocco

    BEIJING, Sept. 4 (Xinhuanet) -- China's top legislator Wu Bangguo left here Sunday morning for an official goodwill visit to Morocco at the invitation of Abdeloughed Radi, president of Morocco's chamber of representatives.

    Following his visit to Morocco, Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC), will head for the UN headquarters in New York to attend the Second World Conference for Parliamentary Speakers.

    Wu's entourage includes his wife Zhang Ruizhen, NPC Standing Committee Vice Chairman and Secretary General Sheng Huaren and Vice Foreign Minister Dai Bingguo. Enditem
