BEIJING, Sept. 1 (Xinhuanet) -- A collection of documents on southwest China's
Tibet Autonomous Region, including decisions of the central authorities, laws
and regulations, and speeches and letters by top Chinese leaders in Tibet, was
published Thursday.
Documents in the book, published by the Central Party Literature Publishing
House, cover the period from September 1949 to May 2005. Many of the documents
were made public for the first time.
"These documents rather systematically reflect the guidelines, principles
and major decisions of the central authorities on work in Tibet," said an
official of the house.
"They also comprehensively display the progress of a united, prosperous and
civilized socialist new Tibet," he said.
Publication of the documents coincides with celebrations of the40th anniversary of the founding of the Tibet Autonomous Region. Enditem |
