Sophie Marceau to come to Beijing

    BEIJING, Aug. 30 -- Well-known French actress Sophie Marceau will come to Beijing on 16th September to attend the closing ceremony of French Culture Year in China.

    The China Film Archive will screen several of Sophie Marceau's films on 16th and 17th September.

    Her visit coincides with celebrations for the centennial of Chinese films. The actress will also meet with Chinese directors, actors and actresses, and discuss the situation of the French films and filmmakers with Chinese students.    

    During Sophie's China tour, 20th Century Fox will release a new DVD version of "Braveheart" starring Sophie and Mel Gibson. Enditem
