LIMA, Aug. 28 (Xinhuanet) -- A woman who survived an air crash in the Peruvian jungle on Tuesday died of a heart attack in a medical center on Saturday, bringing the number of victims to 40.
Ebely Gonzalez, 28, died of a heart attack due to serious burns she sustained in the plane crash, said doctors of the center whereshe was hospitalized.
Her death came four days after the Boeing 737-200 operated by the state-owned Tans airline crashed in the Amazon, killing 39 people.
The plane broke into two parts after slamming into the jungle, and 58 people survived the disaster.
During the crash, Gonzalez was with her one-year-old baby son Juan Carlos Valles who is now receiving treatment in the intensive-care ward of the National Children Institute. Enditem |
