Urgent: Sadr's supporters suspend work in Iraqi gov't

    BAGHDAD, Aug. 24 (Xinhuanet) -- Twenty-three parliamentarians suspended their membership and three ministers suspended their workin the Iraqi government on Wednesday to show support for radical Shiite cleric Moqtada al-Sadr, a member of the National Assembly told Xinhua.

    Sadr's followers clashed with a rival Shiite group -- the Badr Brigade -- in Najaf, killing seven and wounding dozens. Enditem
