Zhang Ziyi eyes best actress Oscar

Zhang Ziyi, Michelle Yeoh and Gong Li

    BEIJING, Aug. 23 -- Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi, heroine in film "Memoirs of a Geisha" is eyeing 2006 Oscar for Best Actress, while Michelle Yeoh and Gong Li are in with a shout for Best Supporting Actress.

    Columbia actress Catalina Sandino Moreno, who is much more unknown, to Americans is also in the list of Oscar the Best Actress.

    No Chinese has won the Oscar for Best Actor or Actress except Wu Han, who won Best Supporting Actor in 1984.
