Victoria Beckham loves life in Spain
www.chinaview.cn 2005-08-18 10:58:02

BEIJING, Aug. 18 -- Victoria Beckham says she prefers being a housewife to a singer and loves life in Spain.

Speaking to Spanish magazine Chic, the former "posh spice" said she has no plans to relaunch her career - as either a solo star or with a reformed Spice Girls.

Beckham has struggled to establish herself as a solo artist following the demise of the girlband in the late 1990s, and has decided to focus on hubby David and sons Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz instead.

"All I want to do now is stay in the shadows and look after my children. I've no plans to make music. I loved my time with the Spice Girls. But that's the past."

Beckham said her main aim in life is to make her husband David happy.

"David is one of the most handsome, elegant and desired men on this planet. I am proud of being his wife. I'd do anything to make David happy." she added.

Victoria also revealed her love for the Spanish way of life.

She said: "It's great here - the climate, the people, the restaurants. Things happen more slowly here.

"At first I had problems adapting to the pace of Spanish life. But now I'm grateful for it. I find it lovely. I can't think of anything I don't like about Spain."
