After the incident, the Colombian government offered
to help family members of the crash victims.
Colombian Foreign Minister Carolina Barco said the
Colombian government will offer all the help needed through its Consulate
inVenezuela.
"We will have to determine the situation of the
bodies and the families. Our Consulates are always willing to help with the
required paperwork," Barco said.
The Panamanian state Civil Aviation Authority (CAA)
said it will gather all the information required about the crashed
plane'sdeparture from Tocumen International Airport in Panama City on itsway to
Martinique.
The CAA said it is in constant contact with its
counterpart in Venezuela and with the Colombian airline West Caribbean Airways.
The CAA also said it is working in cooperation with
Venezuelan authorities and West Caribbean in regards to search and rescue
