Cypriot airliner crashes near Athens, 110 on board

    ATHENS, Aug. 14 (Xinhuanet) -- A Cypriot airliner with 110 people on board crashed north of Greece's capital city of Athens on Sunday, Greek news media reported.

    Greece's state-run television reported that rescue services were rushing to the scene. It said that the airliner had been accompanied by two Greek F-16 fighter jets after losing contact with the Athens airport's control tower en route to Athens. More
