BEIJING, Aug. 14 -- Pakistani policemen escort arrested alleged Islamic extremist Hashim Qadeer (face covered with cloth), who is suspected of the murder of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, at a court in Karachi.

Qadeer was arrested in the eastern city of Gujranwala on 27 July, by chance as police were looking for militants under a crackdown against extremist elements launched by the government.
